Halis Aydoğan

A true visionary in the Turkish aviation scene, Halis Aydogan is more than a pilot; he is a mentor to the entire Cappadocia ballooning community. Beginning his career in tourism in 1996 and taking his first flight in 1998, Halis has since logged over 14,000 flight hours. As an Instructor Pilot, he has personally trained dozens of active pilots in the region, setting the gold standard for safety and technical skill. Halis is widely recognized for his leadership as the Chairman of the Board for the International Hot Air Balloon Festival and for his numerous awards in aviation achievement. Known for his multi-lingual, humorous, and deeply informative flight commentary, a flight with Halis is as much a history lesson as it is an aerial adventure.
